Homophobia in general should not really upset people as much as it does. True homophobia, not the kind that people use to boost their poltical ratings, is rooted in ignorance. Look at statistics, the less educated a person is the more likely the person is to believe homosexuality is unnatural and a choice. The more educated the greater amount of people think homosexuality is a trait that occurs naturally. Also, the percentage of the gay population rises in education level.
Of course there are the religious people out there who are very homophobic and yank their children out of school and say "and to think they were going to teach my child science." These people refute the theory of gravity and instead advocate intelligent falling in its place and many are for the most part fairly intelligent people, but they choose to base their intelligence on something that is illogical.
So whenever you find yourself getting pissed at homophobia just remember, they are not all that smart. You probably have a better education, quality of life, and a more independent mind than they do. Most of the people I have encountered that are true homophobes generally are not all that happy with themselves...and I have lived in rural areas and in the buckle of the Bible Belt so I have encountered a great number of these people. This of course in a statistical generalization of homophobia.

i dont really enjoy the legal ramifications, but as i am not really a relationship person, i am sort of negate on feeling REALLY ripped off.
mostly, i enjoy being judged, i can handle it whereas a lot of people cannot. judge me, hate me, love me, loathe me. until you KNOW me you are the one holding the short end of the stick.
